FAMILY FRIENDLY...
Plage Keller Tel: +33 (0)4 93 61 28 23 www.plagekeller.com
For a lazy relaxed Sunday, Plage Keller is well worth a 15 minute drive along the coast to Cap d'Antibes. The fine sand beach and calm sea is sheltered from wind, with a lovely swimming area protected from jelly fish. On Sunday’s, the restaurant has a grand buffet filled with all sorts of Provencal goodies; hors d'oeuvres, a fish course, a meat course and a simple dessert. The selection of dishes is great for kids and varied appetites, the service is friendly and costs just 28e per person.
When you have finished you can relax on their immaculate beach or on their jetty, lie on a sunbed and just soak up the warm sun amongst an array of golden yellow parasols.

ST TROPEZ

BEACH LOUNGING...
Club 55
Tel: +33 (0)4 94 55 55 55 Plage de Pampelonne, Boulevard Patch 83350 St Tropez  www.leclub55.com
The legendary Club 55 is the beach Mecca of the glitterati, the place to see, and be seen on the Pampelonne beach, St Tropez.
The club’s restaurant is discreetly set back from the beach under a canopy, providing an intimate atmosphere shaded from the sun. It’s styling is elegant and laid back, and relies on the twisted old trees stood within the restaurant for extra character.
The food is simple, yet perfectly cooked fresh and local produce, highlights include the onion tart and the catch of the day alongside the obligatory local Provencal rose.
Celebrities & millionaires aside, Club 55 is in fact its full of different characters of all ages from across the globe, and has many life long patrons so don’t feel excluded. However, don’t expect to turn up and get a table, you will have to book weeks if not months in advance.
Lunchtimes are extremely busy, so best to arrive at around 11am for your aperitif in the bar lounging area. After lunch you can relax on the beach, have a mooch around the boutique or watch the yachts in the distance.

How to get there...
The boat leaves Cannes to St Tropez every day at 10.15am and returns at 4.30pm, you have to book if you go on the antique market days (Sat & Tues), embarkation is at the port past the old town, the journey takes about 1.5 hours.  Trans Cote D'Azur Tel: +33 (0)4 92 98 71 30
If you have a car, only drive as far as St Maxime then get the boat across to St Tropez as the final road into St Tropez can get very jammed and trying to park can be a nightmare. Les Bateaux Verts
www.bateauxverts.com
However both these routes will only take you to the town, you will then need to get a taxi or catch another boat to the beach.
